I stand with the trans community and their right to play in sports and access gender neutral or the locker rooms of their self-identified gender. These regulations would be a terrible precedent that would enable ACTUAL abusers in the positions like coaches or health advisors of teams to have power over athletes, endangering health and well being of trans and cis gendered women alike. This proposal would not create any real safety for those who are threatened in locker rooms by actual threat. Abusers and rapists don’t dress up and “play” at being a woman to get to victims. That is ridiculous and fear mongering. Transphobia is unacceptable and these proposals make all women more unsafe.
