Oppose APG-578

I am writing as a resident of Fairfax County, Virginia, opposed to expanding the operation of diesel generators, as proposed by this DEQ rule interpretation.

DEQ must put protecting public health first.

The cumulative effects of 9000 and counting diesel generators must be modeled, with scenarios of air quality already degraded by wildfire smoke as one compounding and recurring event. How many people are impacted, over what areas needs to be shared. These diesel generators are super-polluters and the accounting on how much damage they cause must be robust.

The data center industry can start now to invest in battery backup - they are the cause of future energy shortages - none of this is unforseen!
