Guidance Document Change: DEQ Guidance Memo APG-578 addresses the use of emergency generators in the case of “sudden and reasonably unforeseeable events” as the result of a planned electric outage.
DO NOT permit data centers to use diesel generators for planned outages
Data centers should not be permitted to use diesel generators for planned outages. They should be required to find more environmentally safe alternatives, using generators for emergencies only.
