Guidance Document Change: DEQ Guidance Memo APG-578 addresses the use of emergency generators in the case of “sudden and reasonably unforeseeable events” as the result of a planned electric outage.
Data centers should use tier IV generators as this will be a planned, regular need, not just an emergency. Loosening of the regulations is a capitulation to industry wants over citizen needs. We do not NEED the data centers, we do need clean air.
