Data center emergency generator allowance should NOT be broadened to include planned outage events

The DEQ has a responsibility to citizens to make public health a top priority. The data center emergency generator allowance should NOT be broadened to include planned outage events. This will increase pollution, and open the doors for these generators to be used in other ways they are not designed for in the future (such as at times of grid stress).

If DEQ does broaden the allowance, the generators should be inspected daily, and there should be wide public advertisement about when and for how long these generators will be run, and should definitely NOT be allowed near sensitive areas (e.g., residential areas, parks, etc.).

Just because data centers are necessary doesn't mean we should allow them to run amok now because we will pay for it in the future if we do.
