Expanded use of generators

The original purpose of allowing generators eas for emergency purposes when the power source is not available in an unforseen circumstance.  Quite often, under emergency coditions. The generators are exempt from noise levels.  In addition, under these limited conditions, air pollution from deisel generators at least would be kept to a minimum

With developement of larger and more complex plans for data centers, this double edged issue of both sound and air pollution is significantly  increased.  This proposal is much more than a slippery slope.  Proper developement of multiple sources for transmission lines although more expensive would be an alternative to the use of generators.  A few years down the road, there willbe another request to allow the use of generators for standard use.  DEQ is supposed protect the environment for the citizens of the Commonwealth.
