Guidance Document Change: DEQ Guidance Memo APG-578 addresses the use of emergency generators in the case of “sudden and reasonably unforeseeable events” as the result of a planned electric outage.
Need to prohibit or at least regulate turning on hundreds of diesel generators
DEQ's proposal would allow data centers to potentially turn on hundreds to thousands of diesel generators. This will pit public health at risk. This change shouldn’t be allowed, or at the least, should be strictly regulated.
