Preserve religious freedom and the right to faith-based child placement
Faith-based agencies have a right, under federal and state law, to make decisions that are consistent with their religious beliefs, including their beliefs about marriage and family life. This right must be respected and preserved especially when deciding the fate of children to be placed in adoption. It is critical that birth parents have the right to place their children for adoption through licensed institutions whose faith-based values match their own.
It is a fundamental principle of the constitution that respects an individuals right to to act, and make decisions according to their faith.
