Non-discrimination Is Best for the Child

If gay/lesbian and straight people undergo the same background investigation and procedures, and gays and lesbians pass, they should be allowed to adopt and provide foster care. Otherwise, a child  loses a good, stable, caring upbringing. Stereotypes and unproven allegations about gays and lesbians should not govern Virginia's adoption/foster care processes. The welfare of the child should be the highest priority.
