Support for Anti-discrimination Regulations

I emphatically support anti-discrimination regulations that allow gay partners to adopt children to the same extent as heterosexual couples.   I believe that is the morally right choice, because my faith does not permit me to view any group of people as "other," to be discriminated against by individuals or by society's legal structure.  Moreover, I believe children can thrive in loving gay families just as they can in any other families and, therefore, it is in everyone's interests to allow gay partners to adopt children. Finally, for practical reasons, it also makes sense to allow gay couples to adopt children when so many children in Virginia need loving homes and there are competent, loving gay couples willing and able to adopt them.
