I am a voter living in Virginia. All children deserve a loving, long term family. Currently there are over 1000 children waiting for homes in va. Decisions about prospective parents should be based on the best interest of the child, not on discriminating factors unrelated to good parenting. When agencies act in the stead of the state they should be bound by principles of non discrimination, even if they are private agencies. There's plenty of loving available homes available for children, and yet some of these children will be left waiting homeless and parentless all because some agencies choose to be ignorant. It is truly a shame. Please help these children have a better future.
