Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing in regards to the upcoming evaluation of adoption regulations by the Virginia State Board of Social Services. As a Virginia resident and voter, I believe that it is vital that all children within our state have the opportunity to have a stable home.

The reevaluation of these regulations will serve to both provide a greater opportunity for the over 1, 000 children who are in need of a home and for the equality of all Virginia citizens, regardless of their race, gender, or sexual orientation.

No agency, private or public, should have to enforce discrimintatory policies, regardless of the fleeting political climate. As a key state in the early days of American democracy, I hope that Virginia takes the position that all citizens are truly created equally, in all domains. I appreciate your time.  Sincerely,
