I support LGBT adoption.

The adoption process should be rigorous enough that they don't have to resort to basing their judgments on the content of an aspiring parent's character on gender or sexual orientation stereotypes. Any inabilty you may believe a member of one sex has that would prevent that person from being a parent without the a member of the opposite sex is based on stereotyping. Any sort of character traits you imagine homosexuals or transgenders as a people may have that will make them poor parents is also based on stereotyping. The posts on this forum saying that a father and mother combination is the only way to go are devaluing those who did not have that. Just because someone didn't grow up in the same environment as you may have, does not make them a lesser human being. There is also nothing in the Bible that says only one man and one woman may bring up a child (mentions of thy father and thy mother are assumptions the Lord makes), and there is nothing inherently homosexual about a homosexual couple raising a kid, so any religion-based ban on same-sex couples adopting children is simple hatred of the sinner, and not the sin.
