Don't let discrimination prevent children from having a home.

Virginia State Board of Social Services,

I am a voter in Virginia and also a counselor who works with children in foster care. All children deserve a loving, forever family. Decisions about prospective parents should be based on the best interest of the child, not on discriminatory factors unrelated to good parenting. When agencies act in the stead of the state, they should be bound by principals of non-discrimination even if they are private agencies.

Please consider the best interest of the children who have no control over their lives when you are making decisions for them. Please decide to prohibit adoption agencies from discriminating against prospective adoptive parents based on gender, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability, or family status

Thank you for your consideration to this matter,

Megan Marker
