As an adoptive parent and a grandmother, I support the anti-discrimination protections for prospective parents based on sexual orientation, disability, age, gender, race, color, national origin, political or religious affiliation, etc. The best interests of the child and goodness of fit between prospective adoptive parents and children's needs should drive placement decisions rather than the sexual orientation or other characteristics of the parents.
