Virginia's Children Deserve Loving Parents

I believe that Virginia children should be placed with families who will love them and nourish them regardless of their real or perceived sexual orientation, disability, age, gender, political or religious affiliation, and race, color, or national origin.  I support adoption regulations that protect prospective parents from discrimination based on their real or perceived sexual orientation, disability, age, gender, political or religious affiliation, and race, color, or national origin.  With so many children in Virginia in need of loving and supportive homes, we can not afford to discriminate.  i join Mothers and Others of Virginia in calling on the Virginia Board of Social Services to reverse its decision of April 2011 and broaden the antidiscrimination adoption regulations to include prospective parents regardless of their real or perceived sexual orientation, disability, age, gender, political or religious affiliation, and race, color, or national origin.
