Our laws should be amended to allow for more people to welcome children who need adoption into their homes. We know that the one, overriding factor that guarantees a child's well-being is a loving home. Race, religion, marital status, or sexual orientation have nothing to do with this simple fact. Many Virginians of all sorts are able to offer a loving home and should not be discriminated against because of any of these other factors when considering the needs of a child for adoption.
