I support adoption and foster care regulations including anti-discrimination protections for prospective parents based on sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, gender, race, color, national origin, political or religious affiliation.

I personally know two women in a long-term committed relationship who were not allowed to foster the children of one partner's sibling because of the anti-lesbian bias in the VA current rules. These children, instead of being placed with their aunt, went into the hands of STRANGERS in another state.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Please include anti-discrimination protections for foster and adoptive parents from now on - we shouldn't even have to discuss this!
