Faith based agencies must be allowed to continue to assist the community with respect to their diverse beliefs.  On Arpil 20, the State Board of Social Services correctly upheld the fundamental right of faith-based agencies to continue their great works wihtout governmental inturision.  They have a right to serve the community in a way that isw consisent with their religious value system.  Many birthparents and prospecitve adooptive parents hold these beliefs as well and they have every right to work with agencies that share their religous values to have their children adopted by poeple who share their religious values.

Forcing Agencies and individuals to choose between following their own values or follwoing the law would be an unprecedented violation of religious freedom in VA.
