Please recognize that the best interests of the child have nothing to do with whether foster or adoptive parents are gay or straight.  What's safest and best for the child should be the only factor in decision-making. 

I am against my VA taxes supporting State-licensed child placing agencies that discriminate against children or prospective parents based on race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability and family status

The State Board of Social Services should restore to the final rules the protections against such discrimination included in the proposed rules.
