I urge you to remove the Advocates for Youth website from the proposed Virginia Department of Health Virginia School Health Guidelines for public schools. This offensive website – listed in the document’s “Sexual Health” resources section – promotes abortion, a “Free the Pill” campaign, and numerous other items that so many parents, including me, recognize as extremely harmful to children’s health and well-being. Our youth should not be taught about sex without understanding the negative consequences of a permissive life style. Instead, they should be taught to behave responsibly and avoid sexual relations. Please remove this highly objectionable, completely unacceptable site from the proposed school health guidelines document.
