Please remove offensive and inappropriate website from proposed Virginia school health guidelines!

I urge you to remove the Advocates for Youth website from the proposed Virginia Department of Health Virginia School Health Guidelines for public schools. This offensive website – listed in the document’s “Sexual Health” resources section – promotes abortion, a “Free the Pill” campaign, and numerous other items that so many parents recognize as extremely harmful to children’s health and well-being. I'm not a parent, but I remember my roller-coaster adolescent days and how much I relied on input and guidance from my parents to deal with new and disquieting aspects of growing up.  Parents should be foremost in informing and guiding their children about subjects contained in this website, and the way in which it is presented is contrary to what most parents would want for their children.  Moreover, having this kind of information on the wegbsite risks inappropriate exposure of this material to children too young for it.  This site is listed as a “resource” in the proposed guidelines, when in reality it promotes the exact opposite of what our youth should be taught. Please remove this highly objectionable, completely unacceptable site from the proposed school health guidelines document.
