I am not an anti-vaxer. I believe in the science behind vaccines and my children are up to date on all required vaccines. I do not, however, believe in a mandate to the COVID vaccine. I am a frontline responder with a degree in specialized healthcare. I do not feel that this vaccine is necessary or safe for children. There is a nearly 100% recovery rate in children with COVID with a nearly 100% chance of asymptomatic to mild symptoms only. This vaccine can not prevent a person from getting or spreading COVID. I do not feel that there is enough benefit to outweigh known and unknown risks of this vaccine. I will be withdrawing my children from VA public schools of this is passed.
