It is unfortunate many in our state do not realize the government shall make no law respecting an establishment of a religion, or prohibiting the free exercize thereof...if the reason to not endorse this legislation is based on religion, it can not stand.  Attending school with a transperson does not infringe on the religious rights of the cis person.  If this is a matter of competing in sports, or using restrooms, I suggest constituents educate themselves. Trans people are NOT trying to sneak into a bathroom to rape members of the opposite sex.  They are not trying to outsmart school sports to compete at an unfair advantage.  They are trying to be who they truly feel they are without bullying, attack, or exclusion.  Most kids are savvy enough to know a trans kid in the bathroom versus a predator.  This idea that a young CIS man can't follow a young woman into the restroom during class when halls are empty and then rape her is naive.  It can happen, and shaming trans kids won't stop it from happening.  Let us value kids and their lives and try to prevent transphobia.  Sex education is taught in schools, not just reading writing and 'rithmatic.  Lets not pretend those are things learned exclusively at home.
