This draft policy is in no way shape or form about PROTECTING trans kids. Rather, it is all about ramming down the public's throat an ideology that is devoid of anything remotely approaching scientific truth. For example, it refers to one's gender that is assigned at birth. Wonder what that is based on? Visual observation of 100% clear evidence of their gender. Is that not scientific enough?
Did critically thinking adults draft this policy? You're going to let a 17 yo male walk into a girl's locker room? How about a 17 yo girl running shirtless through town for cross country practice along with all the guys who are shirtless? Any chance that these scenarios could increase the risk of sexual assault?
“Access to facilities such as restrooms and locker rooms that correspond to a student’s gender identity shall be available to all students.” (Draft Policy, p.18) “School staff should not confront students about their gender identity upon entry into the restroom.”
Will you tell the parents that suicide prevention education is also provided? After all, the suicide rate among trans kids is above that of heterosexual kids. This is a disaster in the making and children will suffer horribly - you just don't care.
