I have 5 grandchildren in the Fairfax County, VA Public Schools. I vehemently oppose the proposed transgender "policies" proposed by the Virginia Department of Education. They are another attempt to impose a political minority's views on the majority. . These policies endanger the privacy and safety of all children. As a parent of three, children as well, my experience and conventional wisdom belies the assumption that children have fixed gender identity by age 6. No child should be forced to share a locker room, hotel room, or shower with a person of the opposite biological sex.
Parents are the ultimate authority when i comes to raising their children. No forced imperatives or practices regarding gender politics should prevail.
