The proposed guidelines for transgender students proposed by the VDOE have nothing ultimately to do with caring for students as a whole. These policies take the responsibility of raising children away from parents and placing that responsibility in the hands of the state. I do not support it. We do not hire the VDOE with our tax dollars to indoctrinate our children on cancel culture ideology and sexuality. We hire them to educate our children in academics.
These policies discriminate against victims of prior physical or sexual abuse by allowing the opposite gender to be present in changing rooms and bathrooms and punishes that victim if he/she protests, they discriminate against families of religious faith who teach their children a Torah, Bible, or Quran-based view of sexuality, they further confuse children at a time in their life when parents or a licensed therapist/counsellor of the parents' choosing should be guiding them. Please do not adopt these guidelines. Children and families will suffer because of it.
