Minimizing the question of US citizenship and eliminating any consequence or penalty for failure to answer opens the door to fraud. If anything, the form should be strengthened to require proof of citizenship, which apparently is not presently required (but was when I registered many years ago). A driver's license or other ID is not proof of citizenship. Also, providing voter registration cards to those whose US citizenship has not been established enables terrorists to enter USG buildings and board aircraft. DO NOT CHANGE THE FORM.
