Voter ID requirement is perfectly reasonable

It is perfectly reasonable and proper to require voter ID at the polls.  People have to show ID to cash a check or enter many workplaces and public buildings/schools.  People have to show ID when a police officer stops them for a driving violation.  You have to show ID at doctor's offices for insurance purposes and you have to show ID in countless other places to gain access, get benefits or exercise your rights.  If the state issues free ID to voters and requires that everyone, not just a select few, show that ID to prove that they are entitled to vote, how can any sane person argue that a voter ID requirement discriminates against a select few or that it somehow interferes with someone's right to vote?  I have worked as an election officer for years and people in my precinct not only expect to have to show their ID, they strongly support the requirement.
