When any agency is acting as a proxy for the state, it should be be acting in the best interest of children. Too many children need good loving homes; it is cruel to allow their needs to go unmet because of discriminatory factors. Broad research has shown that children of same sex parents do as well as children from opposite-sex unions.  To do right by children, the anti-discrimination provisions should be restored to the regulations.
