I am a registered and practicing Virginia voter. There are currently over one thousand children waiting to be placed with permanent adoptive families. Every child deserves to have a permanent, loving, supportive family environment, regardless of discriminatory factors such as the
gender, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability, or family status of the parent or parents, which are wholly unrelated to parenting ability. The state should act in the best interests of the child and not permit such discriminatory practices, even by angencies acting in the stead of the state. Thank you!
