I am a Virginia voter and I strongly support ending discrimination in adoption practices. Particularly, I support ending discrimination against would-be-parents who may be gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered. The more than 1,000 children waiting to be adopted in Virginia deserve loving, lasting homes.

 

Do not allow state funded agencies to deny them these homes. And why would they deny them these homes? Because of deeply held religious beliefs that ensure that they can't even think about gay parents being good parents. Well, the data is in, and gay parents may be no better than any other parents but they certainly are no worst, taking whatever averages and standard deviations you like. So let them adopt. Find the children homes and do not give state funding to agencies that wish to wage a relgious crusade.
