I live in Alexandria, Virginia and am a regular voter in all elections. I understand that the Department of Social Services is considering implementing changes to the regulations governing adoption agencies in a manner that would require those agencies, including faith-based agencies, to allow adoption by same sex couples. I am firmly against any such regulations. Moreover, I fear that imposing such regulatory changes might lead some, or even many, of our faith-based organizations that handle so many adoptions to decide to stop providing those services since such a regulation conflicts with many of their moral and ethical precepts.
Please do not pass any such regulatory changes.
Thank you for your consideration.
