Virginia DSS rules should absolutely apply equally, regardless of marital status, gender and/or sexuality.
No such discrimination exists in the biological world. The state places no restrictions on the parenting of a biological or step-child. Hence no such restriction should be placed on foster children.
Foster children deserve the right to be raised by ANY loving, qualified parent that can provide a stable, nurturing permanent home.
This change in Virginia DSS ruling will have a tremendously positive outcome for hundreds of children who will now have the option of loving homes.
