Preserve Religious Freedom

The proposed regulation should not be adopted for the following reasons:

Faith-based child placement agencies do tremendous work that greatly benefits families and children. We must not restrict their ability to do this work.

Faith-based child placement agencies should continue to have the right to faciliatate child placement without government intrusion that violates their principles of faith.

Many birthmothers and potential adoptive parents hold similar faith-based beliefs about marriage and family. Their rights must be respected and preserved as well.

Forcing child placement agencies and people to choose between their sincerely held beliefs and the proposed discriminatory regulation would  be a unnecessary and unwarranted  violation of religious freedom.
