Adoption

Any reasonable person would know that the only consideration in deciding who will be permitted to adopt is competence, stability and the resources to provide a safe and happy home for a child. As the state already has measures in place to assure that those three criteria are met - why is this even being discussed? Either one meets those criteria or he does not.

Only an extreme, uneducated or grossly misinformed agenda would attempt to layer that criteria with characteristics that are irrelevant to state criteria for adoption.Again, I ask why is this an issue? I would hope that the state is neither extreme nor uneducated nor grossly misinformed - or am I mistaken?
