Preserve Religious Freedom

Faith based agencies that provide child placement services should not be required to place children with homosexual couples.  This requirement would mean that these agencies have to violate their basic religious beliefs which are based on Biblical authority.  There are sufficient numbers of agencies available that will consider homosexual applicants.

Implementing a requirement which would effect the ability of faith based agencies to place children in "suitable" environments is a violation of our religious freedom.

On April 20, the State Board of Social Services correctly upheld the fundamental right of faith based child placement agencies to continue their work of helping children and families without governmental intrusion into the practice of their faith.
