Virginia Social Services Board Adoption Rules

The best environment for a child is a loving home where their welfare and well-being are placed in the forefront.  The problems facing children in our society today come from the parents that do not accept responsibility of really raising the children they bring into the world.  Social services' only goal should be to provide for the best welfare of the child when deciding on a foster or adopting family.  I support the rule that does not discriminate against prospective fostering or adopting parents based on race, gender, nationality, ethnicity, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability, or family status.  The children that need placement in a nurturing, loving home are crying out in the night against any discrimination that keeps them waiting for their own family to love.  The state Social Services Board should restore to the final rules these non-discrimination terms.  Do the right thing.  The children are waiting.
