There are real and important criteria that need to be used when determining the fitness of people to adopt -- but there should not be any place in those criteria for gender or sexual orientation discrimination.

I'm a mom of three wonderful children -- I know how challenging and rewarding children can be. I also know same sex couples who are much better parents that I could ever hope to be.

In this day and age, let's keep our focus on the important issues: whether the prospective parents can love and care for the child!
