Equal Opportunity Adoptions

When considering your decisions, please consider that children deserve to be placed in happy, secure, safe, and loving home environments.  We should not discriminate against couples because they choose a certain sexual orientation, or because they have different colored skin, because they choose a certain religion, or they have certain beliefs.  Societal prejudices begin and end with the education of the younger generation.  What do we continue to teach our children if we continue to discriminate against prospective adoptive couples because of their sexual orientation or race? Virginia is a smarter, more intelligent state than this, and we are savvy enough to know that our rights must be protected in writing.  Protect against prejudice and ignorance and put the proposed revisions into effect.
