as an educator, I strongly oppose to this proposed policy to enforce teachers from withholding information from parents regarding their children. Teacher’s job is to teach and to educate. The public school system should not interfere with a privacy of any citizen, and the state should not demand this from any public school teacher either. This is unethical. Don’t use public school system and educators to carry out it’s special interest. The public school system should not be a place to teach minors about sex, sexual identity nor sexuality. This is responsibility of parents, not state agency nor federal government. Do not attempt to take control over the right of parents over this important issue by forcing someone to hide the information.
