Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

VDOE marriage to LBGTQ agenda in the schools

I oppose this move to undermine the rights of parents to promote a sexualized agenda in our schools.  Not only does this further confuse children who are emotionally, physically and spiritually developing, but it is a clear attempt to further break down families; and brainwash/mislead children.  How about the VDOE focus on improving the metrics of core subjects first?  These proposed implementations pit school officials against parents by allowing children to reassign their developing personas in school.  It also tears down any safety and security among children by further isolating individuals due to either an entitlement mentality to walk into any bathroom/locker room they want OR by forcing students to fear in communal sacred spaces.  Schools would no longer be institutions of academia. Where would these changes end?...I guess sports would be affected too.  These policies are just bomb drops on vulnerable populations and do nothing to protect or improve students.  Tax payer dollars should not be used to roll out LBGTQs warped and harmful policies.
