Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

I DO NOT SUPPORT THIS

This is not something that I will support. Since forever and the beginning of time all you have ever known or seen was male or female, boy or girl. There are only two options to choose from why do things need to change now. You have to wonder where this notion came from and the effects that it is having on people. God, yes GOD created man and woman, nothing else. Why must we allow our minds to be conformed to a world that have not respect for humanity. The children are seeds from God, allow them to grow up and defend who they want to be, a doctor a lawyer, their was never an option or thought of transgender, so why now. Children are sent to schools to learn and grow up to be the next leaders in the world. They are faced with a number of bullying and abuse from other children why add to it. Every want a voice, but has anyone thought about the consequences that lies ahead. Children are hit with peer pressure  daily to make good grades, compete in sports, do better than you did the last time, who has the latest this or that. Why burden them with this transgender non sense to create more drama and more bullying, more peer pressure. What happen to schools being a safe place, to go and learn. We have taken the focus off learning that our children are failing in social skills, academic skills and basic skills to succeed in life. Can we just stop the madness for one second and think of the confusion, frustration, depression and pressure this will cause. I DONT WANT TO SEE MORE OF OUR CHILDREN DYING AND KILLING THEMSELVES  BECAUSE OF FOOLISHNESS LIKE THIS.
