Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

POOR TEACHERS. Opposed!!

FFT: A child (and we are speaking of CHILDREN here, not grown adults whose brains can make an informed decision) can change his or her identity at will and it will be HARASSMENT AND DISCRIMINATION if a teacher can’t keep up with which child is him or her or it or “ze” on any given day? Strongly Oppose.  Teachers have it hard enough.
Additionally, You really think it’s a fantastic idea to let ANY kids, male or female, into locker rooms of the opposite sex? And teachers are not even allowed to stop and question a student? You don’t think middle school boys aren’t going to waltz into girls locker rooms? You don’t think your girls are going to feel violated when that happens?  You’re going to let girls go topless in the pool because they’re a boy that day and you, as a parent, are not even allowed to know that someone is indecently exposing themselves to your child?
Give this a modicum of foresight at the mental and emotional pain something like THIS will cause. How many teenage girls will get raped because a teacher is not even allowed to question a high school boy (or boyS) about entering a girls locker room.
Not even touching on the brainwashing of confusion into the next generation.  In DC, 11 year olds may now get an irreversible sex change operation without their parents KNOWLEDGE, let alone consent. What 11yo is capable of making such a decision?  How many college freshman even know what they want to major in? And they think it’s healthy for a MIDDLE SCHOOLER to make decisions about their own health?  My 11 year olds would stay up late every night, skip school and eat candy until their teeth fell out were they given free reign.  BECAUSE THEY CANT SEE THE RAMIFICATIONS OF THEIR ACTIONS. So we parents must train and protect them until their brains are developed.  It’s science.
Who is behind insanity such as this?
