diesel generators used by data centers

Department of Environmental Quality? How can you be named that and then make the requlations for data center diesel use be so very softened to non-emergency use? How  does this proposal align with DEQ’s own mission to “protect and enhance the environment of Virginia” and its vision of “better air quality” for all Virginians? How can you put the data center developers above the quality of life for  residents of VA?

I would like to see this change in regulation stopped! There are too many unanswered questions:

If approved, would residents in area be notified when they will be running?

If approved, would  air quality monitoring will be required, and how that data will be shared with the public.

Are there any time limits for usage during these non-emergency times?

Why can't these developers of data centers be required to use more evironmentally friendly methods for electricity usage?

How could data center owners have more say than residents?

Concerns: noise  pollution,  air polllution.
