Protect the people in Virginia, not billionaire's profits

Greetings,

I oppose the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) proposed changes that would allow data centers to run backup diesel generators during planned outages. I oppose data centers and diesel generators entirely. But understand that compromise is necessary. Virginia has the most data centers in the country. We don't need anymore. And with global warming, we are going to make it impossible for humans to live on this planet. Please don't change the regulations to allow the burning of more fossil fuels.

Instead, consider requiring data centers to use renewable energy. At this point, they are pretty much committed to Virginia; let's require some characteristics that benefit the people in the Commonwealth.

Thanks for your consideration,

Lucinda Shannon
