Description This regulation establishes the policies and procedures that VDOT will follow in matters relating to the conveyance of lands and disposal of improvements, including classifications of surplus land and exceptions to policy.

Goals of Regulation The goals of this regulation are to ensure the agency’s resources are used effectively and to clearly articulate policy and protocol for the transfer or conveyance of residue and surplus land with an emphasis on highest and best use.
