Medical experts have determined that there is not a medically justifiable reason for regulating abortion providers (doctors' offices and clinics that provide safe abortion services) as if they were hospitals, rather than holding them to the same regulations as other health centers. On the contrary, such unconstitutional restrictions would make it more difficult for women to access needed health care services. The Virginia Board of Health must rely on evidence-based medicine and the expertise of doctors -- the Board of Health should repeal TRAP restrictions.
