I reside in a state that has witnessed the impact of removing menhaden reduction boats. Beachgoers in New York are treated to the magnificent sight of whales just 30 yards off the shore. Our striped bass populations are thriving and full of life. Bird populations have surged, with ospreys once again populating our shores and fourteen nesting pairs of American Bald Eagles now present on Long Island.
I believe my voice matters in this context, especially since our striped bass regulations are influenced by the events in the Chesapeake Bay.
