I feel that this money should be used to increase the reimbursement rate for Personal Care Providers, with the increase in minimum wage increasing $2.25 the $0.92 raise we received is not enough to offset the increase in payroll, taxes, compensation insurance etc. There are so many more requirements for Agencies than Consumer directed, we must have a physical building which requires rent or mortgage payment, we have to have a nurse on staff which is a high wage, we must have electricity, phone, internet etc which also cost money. We also were required last year to participate in EVV which is an additional $300-$500 a month expense. There will be a lot of personal care agencies that will no longer be in business if we do not receive an increase in the reimbursement rate to match the increase in minimum wage.
